CHB to carry forward Prideasia

The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) plans to carry forward the failed Prideasia housing project that was being developed by Parsvnath developers, in a new avatar. Secretary (Housing) The CHB will develop smaller apartments, which may result in a larger number of units than in the existing plans. Though the project is better located than other housing projects by CHB, the pricing would be much lower than quoted by Parsvnath.

The specifications will not be the same as quoted by Parsvnath but conform to the standard specifications provided by CHB in their existing units, bringing down the cost factor. Parsvnath, which had a 70 per cent stake in the project, had priced the one-room apartment at Rs 52 lakh, two-to-five bedroom apartments from Rs 1 crore to 3.5 crore and villas for over Rs 6 crore.
