he Chandigarh Housing Board is set to float a housing scheme in Sector 51 here. The scheme was approved at the board meeting today.
300 houses would be constructed under the scheme, which would include LIG, MIG and EWS houses.The site was recently cleared of encroachments. The construction of EWS houses is already in progress in Sector 26 and is nearing completion. It was decided that the scheme would be launched after the completion of the project. It was also decided that two more housing schemes, one in Sector 52 and another in Sector 53, would soon be floated.
