Rs 50 lakh per acre as compensation for Swara, Rasanheri and Jhajerri villages

The cabinet sub-committee to give Rs 50 lakh per acre as compensation to farmers of Swara, Rasanheri and Jhajerri villages whose 58 acre will be acquired for dumping ground project. GMADA has already allocated Rs 50 crore for the land acquisition to the district administration. For the dumping site, over 5.2 acres in Sawara village, over 29.46 acres in Rasanheri and over 24 acres in Jhajerri will be acquired.

The villagers are planning to oppose the acquisition, claiming that it would ruin the agriculture land, besides the future growth of area.
