Panchkula:Collector's Rate hiked

Panchkula Administration hiked collector rates for registration of property up to 50 per cent in several parts of the city.

In most of the rural areas have registered a hike between 10 to 15 per cent, most of the urban areas in the city have been hiked by 30 to 50 per cent.The rates have been hiked in the wake of rise in the real estate prices depend- ing upon the location and the market price in the particular area of sector of the rural and urban areas.

While the collector rate for the plots in Sectors 6, 7, 8 and 9 has been hiked by about 33 per cent, the same in the Sectors like 2, 4, 10 and 11 has been hiked by about 36 per cent, in Sectors 23, 24, 25 and 26 by up to 43 per cent and in sectors like 27, 28 and 19 had been hiked by up to 54 per cent.

The rates of the plots in proximity of villages located in the Sector 2, 4 and Mansa Devi Complex, namely, Majri, Haripur and Bhainsa Tibba, had been hiked by even 80 per cent.The collector rate for the plots touching the said villages was about Rs 16,500 per square meter had now been hiked to Rs 30,000.

Rate of plots near Sectors 12, 12-A, 17, 18 and 21 too had been hiked to Rs 25,000 per square meter, which was about 60 per cent hike, However, for a change, the administration had not hiked the rates of such plots in Sectors 25 and 26 where the general urban plots rate was about Rs 23,000 per square meter, while the rate of the plots near the villages there had been hiked to about Rs 22,000 per square meter only.The same was about Rs 12,000 per square meter and thus the hike was about 80 per cent.

Meanwhile, though the rates in most of the rural areas had been hiked up 15 per cent, the rate of the plots of residential zone in Kot village and Billa area saw the maximum hike which was almost double.Also, the rates of commercial sites saw a hike up to 25 per cent, in industrial area, up to 30 per cent.
