The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) received around Rs 3,000 crore on account of earnest money paid by the applicants besides receiving over 2 lakh application forms for its Aerocity independent integrated township coming up over 1,000 acres of mixed land use in the vicinity of upcoming international airport in Sectors 66 (East) and 82 (East).
The scheme, after remaining open for one month since its launch on June 7, had closed, all 15 banks authorised to sale and receive application forms were yet to submit their final reports pertaining to total number of applications received and funds transferred to the GMADA account.
