Mohali: Land acquisition begins for IT City and Knowledge Park

GMADA has begun acquisition work on new township 'IT City and Knowledge Park' near upcoming airport. 1,909 acres spread across 12 villages was put under acquisition for an IT City and Knowledge Park in the vicinity of the upcoming international airport here.

After concluding the allotment process for its first integrated independent township Aerocity, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has formally begun work on a self-contained township. It will comprise residential, commercial and industrial components in the 60:40 ratio.



GMADA’s issued notification under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act for developing four new Sectors
1. 66 Beta,
2.82 Alfa,
3.83 Alfa and
4.101 Alfa
These are on the 300-feet-wide road leading to the international airport from Kharar-Banur Road.
Land will be acquired in Manauli (839.89 acres),
Chaumajra (401.1),
Rurka (226.1),
Sainimajra (121.42),
Bakarpur (115.19),
Chachumajra (81.68),
Dhurali (30.94),
Deri (30.01),
Makran (28.16),
Seon (23.9),
Nogiari (5.7)
and Manakpur Kalar (4.53 acres).
