Chandigarh to Usher-E-stamping

UT administration will introduce e-stamping in the city by replacing the prevailing physical stamping. The new system will enable city residents to make transactions like registration of property online. E-stamping system has an easy accessibility, immediate processing, round-the-clock availability and convenience, saves cost and is user friendly. The system is transparent and assures privacy of the client information as long as he does not part with his unique identification number to any person not concerned with the transaction. Once the stamp duty is committed for a particular transaction, the system will prevent the client from making a double payment for the same transaction. The documents that require stamp duty include agreements, deed of conveyance, certificate of sale, bill of exchange/lading, partition, and power of attorney to sell immovable property, deed of settlement, transfer of lease, mortgage deed, insurance and letter of credit.
