Rs 3,044-crore development plan for Mohali

Jurrong International of Singapore, the company appointed to prepare a city development plan (CDP) for Greater Mohali has submitted a Rs 3,044-crore development proposal for final approval.
The project, mainly related to infrastructure development, would be carried out during the next 25 years in a systematic manner under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM). CDP is being supervised by Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA). CDP will focus on creation and development of basic infrastructure like water supply, sewerage treatment, solid waste management, roads, parks, parking and flyovers in the urban areas of Greater Mohali, including Banur, Kharar, Derabassi, Mohali and Nayagaon.
